This workshop will introduce students to electronic music production skills using the software Ableton Live, a digital audio workstation used by professional musicians and DJs. The workshop will provide a safe-space that encourages open-ended play, experimentation, and collaboration. Each student will be provided a laptop and headphones, with time to explore individual interests. The workshop will illustrate different methods of creating sound (using recorded samples and virtual instruments), adding effects, manipulating tempo, pitch, and more! No musical experience required, LGBTQ+ friendly!
